The Immigration Laws were promoted to protect the rights of this state
and its citizens. When someone applies for a passport, travels from his country
of residence to another country, or seeks to further more develop a higher
education, these actions have a role and parcel of the International Immigration
Act. This area of law is regulated by international law and is very closely
associated with nationality law, which basically deals with a person’s legal
status as a citizen. However, the presence of these immigrants allows us to
spread our cultures and values throughout the world. It reaches to their
relatives, and friends back home.
Immigration enforcement greatly increases the chances that families will
never see each other again. There is no reason why this nation should keep
immigrants from their family. It is a violation against the human right.
Statistics show that we need the skills the un-Americans have. For example. 25%
of technology and engineering were founded by immigrants. I consider this law
un-American because if America has freedom, then why do children get separated
from their parents and family members because of an immigration law? We call
ourselves a united nation but yet we cannot accept those who were not born here.
They just want to be accepted and have the same opportunities we have. “Let us
all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away and the
deep fog of misunderstanding will be lifted from our fear-drenched communities
and in some not too distant tomorrow the radiant stars of love and brotherhood
will shine over our great nation will all of their scintillating beauty” (King, Jr. 182).
Non-citizens want to have a better life. They could not choose where they
were born so why do they have to be punished and suffer when having done no
harm? In this topic of many scenarios, America has no decency to give them the
least bit of support in achieving their main priorities. “The world is different
now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human
poverty and all forms of human life” (Kennedy 197). In my understanding, the old
generation is through governing in America. The objective of all the data being
concluded is that immigration laws should be at a standstill and should no
longer be held so strongly to whomever are non-citizens. Why should they have to
learn how to handle the loneliness that comes with the territory?
